Drawing project number 1 Finished

Beginning number 2, The next drawing brief i have been given is an illustration project called the zodiac... I'm beginning with broad research into historical and contemporary zodiac symbols , we also have to focus on our own star sign , so mines a virgo , so ill explore that as well . Illustration is an intereptive style of drawing were you evoke an atmosphere .

Today i was taking photos on my camera through my telescope .. so im trying to set up so tonight i can take photos of the stars and constellations that relate to virgo .. there is also a full moon for the next three nights so it should be interesting .

Dress

I recently wrote an essay about a garment that belonged to my granny, its a beautiful dress that i found out out dated back to around the 1940s. I really enjoyed writing the essay and exploring the time that the dress came from.seens how it was from a war time i found it relevant to include it in my research for my collections project.

I got this book for Christmas a year or two ago and found it really useful for referencing different textile designers.

Ive collected loads of army documents and when you look through the soldiers roll book you learn all about them , there height whether they were married or single there whole background. I love all the old documents and the history that they carry.




Photoshop idea for stripe design

A mixture of tea stain colours and grey blues which i think would make nice linings for mens luggage, bags or wallets.

Robert Rauschenberg (October 22, 1925 – May 12, 2008) was an American artist who came to prominence in the 1950s transition from Abstract Expressionism to Pop Art. I really like the
look of his collages, the colors he uses and the construction of his collages and combination pieces.

The Dada movement began in Zurich, in neutral Switzerland, during the First World War. It can be seen as a reaction by artists to what they saw as the unprecedented horror and folly of the war. They felt it called into question every aspect, including its art, of the society capable of starting and then prolonging it. Their aim was to destroy traditional values in art and to create a new art to replace the old.
